THE CABINET

FITTING THE DRAWER BASE

In this lesson, I show you how to fit the drawer bottom. While I chose to use solid cedar to do this, it’s perfectly acceptable to use plywood or MDF instead. In fact, it’s often easier in most cases as you do not need to account for movement. Additionally, you could easily line the drawer with felt or flocking if you wanted.

LESSON OBJECTIVES

    - How to fit the base
    - How to allow for movement
    - How to attach the base
    - What finish to use
